Richard Gere recently sold his collectible convertible for $31 million and donated all proceeds to charities helping war-affected people.
Now Metallica reported that in two months the group managed to collect 1 million dollars to help the Ukrainians. It should be noted that the musicians announced the fundraising in April and made the first contribution in the amount of 500 thousand dollars. The rest was helped by their fans.

All funds raised will go to the World Central Kitchen charity and its #ChefsForUkraine initiative, which is dedicated to providing food for Ukrainian refugees. By the way, Hollywood director Cary Fukunaga and actor Liev Schreiber work with this organization.
World Central Kitchen CEO Nate Mook thanked the rock band for their support and noted that the foundation will continue to work for those in need.
It has been just over three months since World Central Kitchen first began supporting people displaced inside and outside of Ukraine by distributing meals and food packages to families across the region. We are grateful to the incredible Metallica family for supporting our efforts. Our work is only possible thanks to friends like Metallica. We still have a lot to do – the destruction is huge – but World Central Kitchen will continue to work for those in need, – said Nate Mook.
