The song “Ukraine”, which was symbolically released on the day of Russia, sings about the war in Ukraine and the ruthlessness of a bloody dictator who imagines himself a deity. Also in the text, the soloist of the group Maxim Pokrovsky recalled the hero cities of Kyiv, Mariupol, Odessa, Kharkov and Bucha.

“Ukraine is my other half,” Pokrovsky sings in the composition.

Support for Russian artists in Ukraine has long been a subject of controversy in Ukrainian society. Representatives of the media and Ukrainian show business express their indignation most clearly.

So, for example, the famous Ukrainian producer Mikhail Yasinsky believes that such artists should be forgotten.

In general, quite a Russian song and video. It is on the day of Russia and for the Russians. Therefore, I don’t understand all these “enthusiasms” from Ukrainians,” writes Yasinsky.

At the same time, Russian journalist and music critic Mikhail Kozyrev, for example, has the opposite opinion.

Each of his songs hits the mark, leaving no one indifferent. The texts prove that the artist has a very clear idea of where the darkness is and where the light is, and he has no doubts about this,” writes Kozyrev.

At the same time, in the comments under Kozyrev’s post, his subscribers continued the dispute. Among the comments one could find a message from the Ukrainian designer and beloved Oleg “Fagot” Mikhailuta – Olga Navrotskaya.

Everything is fine, only we are not the second half, – Olga wrote.

Also “The leg has cramped!” supported by the Ukrainian journalist, blogger and politician Viktor Tregubov.

Given that he (Pokrovsky – Ed.) did not leave for Ukraine, he does not try to obtain Ukrainian citizenship (although he has the right, see below) – (Maxim Pokrovsky’s mother – Ukrainian – Ed.), Does not try to give Ukrainians advice on how to live – in the sense that he does not behave like a stereotypical “Russian liberal” – I don’t see what claims can be made against him simply because I don’t see how he could have done better in his situation, Viktor writes.

At the same time, in the comments, Victor was reminded that “The leg cramped!” previously traveled to the occupied Crimea, and also noted that Ukrainians should not look for “good Russians”.
