The most fashionable autumn event ended in Kiev – festival of contemporary art and fashionKyiv Art & Fashion Days. The project was organized by Sofia Chkonia, the founder of the Fashion Week in Georgia, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi.
For four days of shows, performances and presentations on the platform showed their projects 11 Ukrainian and foreign designers… More than 30 guests from all over the world attended the event.
The first participants of the festival were brands GUDU, ARTEMKLIMCHUK, Lake Studio, BOBKOVA, Situationist, photographers Davit Giorgadze, Julie Poly, art group Fungus, Tomas Auksas, Levchenya and other representatives of art and fashion.
Kyiv Art & Fashion Days is a large-scale and long-term project, which in the future will become a platform uniting designers, media representatives, artists, cultural institutions not only in Ukraine, but also in other countries. In my opinion, such creative collaborations have a real potential to form a new cultural language and convey the values of Ukraine and the countries of Eastern Europe at the global level. For this, already in the first “edition” of the project, we invited representatives of the leading international press, cultural and public figures to come to Kiev and see everything with their own eyes – comments Sofia Chkonia.
One of the first to present its spring-summer collection as part of Kyiv Art & Fashion Days was the GUDU brand. For the first time, designer Lasha Mdinaradze did not hide the faces of the models, but emphasized their individuality.

The collection itself was influenced by the work of Kazimir Malevich: prints and the use of patchwork. The key theme of the show is the street with its simultaneous chaos and order, dullness and diversity. All this is represented by vintage denim, with which the brand is working for the first time, practical silhouettes and a mix of colors and textures.
Lake Studio showed a collection called THE CELL, the idea of which was the association of harmony, when the cells of the human body vibrate at the same frequency with the cells of nature. The collection highlights relaxed oversized blazers, midi-skirt suits, asymmetrical one-shoulder tops and bustier dresses. For the first time, the brand has a cannoli-colored tweed with fine lurex thread.

The collection was presented at the Kiev Workshop of Theater Arts “Suzir’ya”. The Dakh Daughters Band was a special guest of the presentation.

The new collection BOBKOVA SS 2022 is about jazz through the eyes of young, talented artists. It was created in collaboration with Radio JAZZ and the SPILNE art platform. So, the prints for the collection were inspired by jazz improvisations. The artist Notuko worked on them.
The color scheme of the collection differs markedly from the previous ones by the abundance of colors: white, milky and black are complemented by a large number of bright shades of blue, blue, orange and terracotta, as well as green, khaki, ocher and sand.

The collection includes: pinstripe linen trouser suits, jacket-shirts, dressing-gowns and dress-shirts, kimono dresses, poncho dresses, slip dresses made of cotton, silk and knitwear A-shaped silhouette, overalls, jumpers, bodysuits, knitted dresses and tops.
ARTEMKLIMCHUK showed a collection called Escape. As the name suggests, the main theme is the moments of peace of mind when a person is left alone with himself.
