Accident happened during the filming of one of the scenes of the new film Rust… Alec Baldwin fired a pistol that was supposed to be loaded with blanks.
As a result of the shot, two people were injured. Director Joel Sauza was shot in the collarbone, he was hospitalized, but later discharged from the hospital. Operator Galina Hutchins was seriously injured… She was taken to a hospital where she later died.
