Gaia, my feminism is inclusion

(ANSA) – ROME, OCTOBER 29 – Alma, like his soul that tries to focus on the multiplicity between Italy, Brazil and previous lives. Alma, as the title chosen for his new unreleased album, released by Sony Music Italy / Columbia Records. Gaia, winner of Amici in 2020, a participation in the last Sanremo festival and also passed through X Factor in 2016 where she came second, has released her second album, anticipated by the single Nuvole di Zanzare, a year and a half after the debut with New genesis.

A record that brings back nature, women, acceptance of diversity, inner well-being, the result of meditation, research, interest in regressive therapy that brings back to other experiences, other lives, inner journeys and emotional flows between joys, pains , failures and goals. But without labels, without genres, because “I’m allergic to imposed categories”, claims the 24-year-old Italian-Brazilian who has clear ideas and does not accept compromises: “I know what I have to choose, listening to myself I know where I have to go”. And it also does so by going against certain models of society that “make you feel inadequate, not up to par. Being a woman is still complicated, but it’s bullshit: everyone is up to everything”. And he sinks his jab against Alessandro Barbero, the historian who a few days ago spoke of “structural differences between men and women”. “Arrogant to say such a thing. It shows a sense of inferiority.” But there is no need to be labeled a feminist. “For me, feminism is not rewriting the diagram of society by putting women on top and re-proposing the same schema that we already know. My feminism is inclusion, with the possibility for all the invisible to be heard.” Alma’s release anticipates Gaia’s concert scheduled for November 21 at Corona Capital 2021 in Mexico City, which will feature Tame Impala, Disclosure, The Kooks, Twenty One pilot in the line up. In January, the Alma Tour will start from Turin, in Italian clubs. (HANDLE).
