The Diocesan Museum is inaugurated in Cremona

(ANSA) – MILAN, OCTOBER 30 – A new museum opens in Cremona on November 13. In fact, the Diocesan Museum was born inside the bishop’s palace: 1,400 square meters adapted by the architect Giorgio Palù of the Arkpabi studio (the same who signed the auditorium of the Violin Museum) to house 120 works including the foundation stone of the cathedral, the great cross of the cathedral, the hall of the treasures of the Visconti of Pizzighettone and the works of the sacred art collection of the cavalier Giovanni Arvedi and his wife Luciana Buschin.

This completes a real ecclesial cultural park which includes, in addition to the museum, the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the baptistery and the Torrazzo vertical museum.

On the day of the inauguration the visits are already sold out, which is why the Diocese – which created the museum together with the Arvedi Bruschini foundation – has decided to offer free admission also the following day, Sunday, on the occasion of the Torrone festival. (HANDLE).
