Paolo Rossi, me, the North East and my touching stories

(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 06 NOV – Stories set in the lands of the deep North East are also contained in the new book by Paolo Rossi, entitled “Better live than from the dead” (Solferino, pp. 288, euro 16), presented today in Trieste, at the Antico Caffè San Marco, by the author together with the writer Pino Roveredo. Grandmother from Fiume, parents from Monfalcone (Gorizia), for Rossi the memories linked to the places enclosed between Trieste, where he now lives, and the surrounding area offered various ideas for the stories written before and during the lockdown: “I was lucky enough to have great masters, like Gaber, but it is here, as a kid, where I listened to different ideas, stories, conflicts – my family was divided into factions – that I think I have learned the most correct way to touch a story who reads or listens to it, even from afar “. Rossi also focused on the pandemic situation: “It is not a question of being optimistic or pessimistic, but of seriously investigating certain news, but not for bad information, but because this is a situation like a diamond with many faces, it is a complex system. The important thing for me is to do theater, even not in theatrical places, because theater is not only a place of culture but also of meeting and social relations “. (HANDLE).
