Hologram Antonello da Messina explains the Annunciation

(ANSA) – CATANIA, 20 NOV – A hologram by Antonello da Messina guides visitors to the Museum of Palazzo Bellomo in Syracuse who admire his work the Annunciation, explaining some details about the Virgin and the Archangel Gabriel and interacting directly with visitors . The demo, created by the University of Catania, was presented at RO.ME – International Fair on Museums, Places and Cultural Destinations, held from 17 to 19 November in Rome during the session ‘Digital Transformation in museums and art’.

To illustrate it was, together with the engineer Ignazio Infantino of ICAR-Cnr, prof. Giovanni Maria Farinella, Professor of Machine Learning in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University. It is an ‘invention’ created as part of the Value project, a system that allows visitors, through a wearable kit, to be assisted ‘virtually through the use of augmented reality while observing an asset or a’ works in a museum.

During the international fair in Rome there was a stand of the partners of the Value project (Xenia Gestione Documentale, University of Catania, Imc Service, Icar-Cnr and Capitale Cultura group). (HANDLE).
