Discover archaeological areas of the Conero with augmented reality

(ANSA) – ANCONA, 14 DEC – An augmented reality film to rediscover, wearing an Oculus 3D, the finds of the archaeological areas of the Conero Riviera. This is the ‘Archeopaesia del Conero’ initiative, presented in Ancona to enhance the numerous objects found in 1989 in the so-called ‘Tomba della Regina’, the tomb of a noble Picene lady, in the I Pini archaeological area, between Numana and Sirolo. which has over 2,000 burials, and today preserved in the nearby State Antiquarium of Numana.

it included in addition to two floats, a kline (cot) decorated in ivory and amber, cups and other precious objects in terracotta, iron and bronze, together with personal clothes and ornaments for a total of over 2,000 finds, all studied and largely restored. Among these, the most evocative are exhibited (the others are kept in the deposits) and the six-minute 3D movie, enriched with original music by Francesco De Melis and texts by Lucia Palozzi, allows you to see them relocated to the position in which they were found. during the excavations, giving the visitor the thrill of discovery.

To carry out the project, the Conero Park Authority, with the president Daniele Silvetti, the Archaeological Superintendence of Fine Arts and Landscape of the province of Ancona and Pesaro Urbino with the scientific coordination of Stefano Finocchi, the Regional Directorate of Museums of the Marche with the supervision of Nicoletta Frapiccini and the Polytechnic University of Marche, with Paolo Clini as scientific director of the 3D models. The initiative concerns, in addition to the I Pini archaeological area, the Antiquarium and the Visitor Center, where it is possible to find and use the 3D Oculus, also the new project of an Archeodrome, a real open-air museum where you can to experiment, thanks to the social cooperative Opera, workshops for the construction of a Piceno house, for the casting of metals, for the creation and decoration of terracotta vases. The project, promoted by the Conero Regional Park Authority, is co-financed by the Cariverona Foundation for an amount of 440 thousand euros as part of the 2018 Valor Territories Call (ANSA).
