(ANSA) – NEW YORK, DEC 30 – There is already talk of a third series for Squid Game although the second has not yet been confirmed. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hwang Dong-hyuk, creator and director of the South Korean television series, confirmed in an interview with Korean TV KBS that he is in talks with Netflix for a third season.
At the moment the streaming platform is thinking about the second series, which has not yet been confirmed. Speaking to The Korea Times Hwang Dong-hyuk said: “I am discussing with Netflix for a second and third season”.
The series, which premiered last September 17, recorded 111 million views after just 28 days from its debut, a top debut among the Netflix original series that broke Bridgerton’s all-time record of 82 million.
