In the capital of fashion, Paris, beauty and haute couture continue to dominate. After the incredible Chanel show, which was opened by the Princess of Monaco on horseback, Ronald van der Kemp showed his interpretation of haute couture spring 2022.
Dutch designer Ronald, instead of the usual show, presented the lookbook of the new collection. The face of the shooting was 71-year-old cult model Pat Cleveland.

Ronald met Pat last year and felt an “instant spiritual connection”. He invited the star to also star in a short film, which was filmed instead of a show canceled due to the pandemic.
At the beginning of the video, Cleveland appears in a mystical image – in a long black coat dress that emphasizes her hips, and at the end she sings the song “I’m in love” on the stage of the famous Amsterdam club Paradiso in a black evening dress with a tulle cape.

In his collections, the designer uses waste materials, old scraps and pieces of fabric that he has accumulated over the years, as well as leftovers from past collections. Many of the decorations that have been used on items have been created by dipping real flower petals into resin. Details such as the rose Pat holds in his hand were made from melted down pewter plates bought from thrift stores.
