Elon Musk announces internet for schools in rural areas and monitoring of the Amazon

Elon MuskCEO of Tesla (TSLA) and from SpaceXannounced this Friday (20), on his Twitter, the launch of the Starlink network for 19,000 schools in rural areas and environmental monitoring of the Amazon.

The meeting with the head of the Federal Executive and other members of the government will take place at the Fasano Boa Vista hotel, in the city of Porto Feliz, in the Sorocaba region, close to the Aramar Nuclear Industrial Center and the Technological Park.

The billionaire visits the Brazil this Friday (20) to discuss some actions of an environmental and technological with the government, informed the Minister of Communications, Fábio Fariaintermediary of the meeting, in a social network.

The meeting, which is not on the president’s official agenda, will take place on the margins of “Conecta Amazônia”, an event to discuss regulatory frameworks, regulation in amazon and connectivity in schools.

Accompanying the presidential delegation are ministers Fábio Faria (Communications), Carlos França (Foreign Affairs), Augusto Heleno (Institutional Security Office) and Ciro Nogueira (Civil House).

Streaming live on social media, Bolsonaro said he would have a private meeting with a “very important person, recognized around the world” this Friday. “This person came to help our Amazon,” said the president, without revealing his identity.
