Revolut adds 20 new cryptocurrencies, here is the list

Revolut has just added 22 new tokens to its mobile application, a further expansion of the catalog of cryptocurrencies on the application of the London neobank which today brings the total to 80 possible choices. In a year and a half, the offer has grown very strongly while Revolut only offered about forty tokens a few months ago, and only 5 when the platform was launched on its application.

Crypto.com, Ethereum Classic, Sandbox…

With so much to choose from, of course, newcomers are more niche and less popular tokens – discounting the arrival of Crypto.com Coin (CRO), Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Avalanche. (AVAX). Sometimes they are much newer, like ApeCoin (APE), this token linked to the famous collection of NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club and launched in March 2022.

The focus is particularly on the Metaverse with the arrival of the platform token The Sandbox (SAND), which should please many as it still ranks in the top 40 of the biggest cryptocurrencies in terms of valuation (with ApeCoin also).

The full list:

ApeCoin (APE), Request (REQ), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Clover Finance (CLV), Ampleforth (FORTH), Avalanche (AVAX), Sandbox (SAND), Gala (GALA), Axie Infinity (AXS), JasmyCoin ( JASMY), Ethereum Name Service (ENS), Dash (DASH), Flow (FLOW), Immutable X (IMX), Cryptocom Coin (CRO), Idex (IDEX), Ren (REN), Spell Token (SPELL), Perpetual Protocol (PERP), Biconomy (BICO), Coti (COTI) and Melon (MLN).

Like most cryptocurrencies, the new tokens added by Revolut suffered a sharp drop in price between April and today. But Revolut, which seeks to achieve economic balance, knows that such tools will be vital to it if investor optimism returns and customers influx. During the month of December 2020, at a time when Bitcoin was preparing to leave towards its highest levels, there were 300,000 people opening a crypto account on Revolut and the commissions on each purchase transaction varied between 1, 5 and 2.5%.

The rates have not changed in 2022, and you will still pay a higher commission with a free Revolut Standard or Revolut Plus card (€3.99 per month). Revolut Premium and Metal cards lower fees to 1.5%. Where Revolut is continuing its work is above all on the possibility of being able to transfer its funds to other external wallets. Things take time and only English people can take advantage of this feature for now.

PSAN registration

In France, Revolut no longer really communicates about its new developments in cryptocurrencies, for the simple and good reason that the neobank does not have a PSAN registration (Digital Asset Service Provider), which offers crypto players in France the possibility of making promotions, publicity and communication around products of this kind.

In May and June, respectively Binance and eToro got the precious sesame. Coinhouse, at the crossroads between a bank and a crypto exchange platform, is also one of the registered French people.
