The non-governmental organization World Wildlife Fund (WWF) of Germany announced yesterday (21) that it will launch a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in order to raise money to protect endangered animals and their habitats.
Artists invited to create the art for the collection, which will feature endangered animals and is named “Non-Fungible Animals”, include Bosslogic, Freehand Profit, Eric Peters, Vinzent Britz, Lea Fricke, Romulo Kuranyi, Andres Ribon, Rocket & Wink, Etienne Kiefer and Anna Rupprecht.
The number of NFTs for each artist will be linked to the current population of certain threatened species. For example, there will be 290 NFTs to represent the 290 remaining giant ibis in the world.

Sales for the WWF collection will begin Nov. 2, and stablecoin US Dollar Coin will be required (USDC) to acquire an NFT. WWF partners for the launch of the NFTs include Publicis Groupe, Meet Pablo, Max Penk, MoonPay, Polygon, Unifty and Moonwolf.
