Economic agenda: Focus, IPCA-15, Brazilian GDP and PCE in the USA mark the highlights of the week

After a warm week, without much highlights in Indicators Agendathe next few days promise to arrive as a true ‘hurricane’ for the market.

This is because, on Monday (26), the market follows the usual Focus Reportmeasured and published by Central bankbesides the Consumer Confidence Index, from the Brazilian Institute of Economics of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV Ibre).

On Tuesday (27), the National Consumer Price Index Large 15 (IPCA-15), that measures the preview of inflation of Brazilwarms the morning, along with construction drill data and May.

Midweek, Wednesday (28), has data as Industry poll, open market statistics and the Caged Employment Evolution Index.

Thursday (29) will host data such as: service poll, trade poll, monetary and credit statistics, unemployment rate in Brazil and the general price index-market (IGP-M).

Closing the week, the Uncertainty Indicator of the Brazil Economy (IIE-BR) and the budget balance open the market appetite for the biggest prominence of the day, the day Gross domestic product (GDP) referring to the first quarter of 2025 (1T25).

In international agendainvestors await data dissemination such as consumer confidence index, GDP preview, housing pending sales, consumer perception micichigan index, PCE, FOMC meeting minutes and weekly requests for unemployment insurance United States (USA).

Highlights of the previous week

Here, the Focus Bulletin I brought the spotlight to you. In it, the projection for the inflation From 2025 slowed from 5.51% to 5.50%. For 2026 and 2027, the projections were maintained at 4.50% and 4.00%, respectively. For 2028, economists maintained the estimate of 3.80%.

Estimates for gross domestic product (GDP) This year were readjustafter sequential projections maintained by 2%. Now, the projection is that the Brazilian economy grows 2.02% this year. For 2026, 2027 and 2028, the expected growth for the country is respective 1.70%, 2%and 2%.

In addition, the monthly indicator of economic activity (IBC-BR) recorded 0.8% in March, according to the Central bank (BC).

The advance of the preview of gross domestic product (GDP) was 3.5% compared to the same month of 2024, while in 12 months accumulated was 4.2%. The indicator ended the first quarter with an expansion of 1.3%.
