Petrobras (Petr4) will invest R $ 33 billion to expand production in Rio de Janeiro
Petrobras announced on Thursday (3) that will invest $ 29 billion in refining projects and in the petrochemical segment Rio de Janeiroincluding the expansion of the production of Duque de Caxias Refinery (REDUC) and from Bonaventura Energy Complex (former Comperj).
The company also confirmed that Braskem, of which the state company is a partner, will also invest R $ 4.3 billion in the expansion of its Fluminense Polyethylene production unit. Added, investments reach R $ 33.3 billion.
It will be R $ 20 billion from the previous amount announced in September, another R $ 6 billion in BioQAV (Aviation Bioquerosene), plus R $ 2.4 billion of scheduled maintenance that will take place at Reduc in the coming years and another R $ 860 million (in Reduc thermals).
“The other R $ 4.3 billion are from Braskem. They are total investments, but of course Braskem have Petrobras as well,” explained Petrobras’ executive director of industrial processes and products, William França da Silva.

Braskem (BRKM5) plans to triple use of ethane in production and bet on the offer of US and Petrobras (PETR4)
Braskem aims to raise the participation of ethane as an input in the production of petrochemicals in Brazil and has a larger offer of the raw material by US suppliers and Petrobras, said the executive president of Petrochemistry, Roberto Ramos.
According to him, in a cracking plant located in the petrochemical hub of Camaçari, in Bahiathe use of ethane may rise from the current 10% to up to 30%.
The company currently uses NAFTA as the main raw material in the Bahian unit. To reach 30%, Ramos estimates the need for 20,000 barrels of ethane per day. The greatest use of ethane should also be implemented in another Braskem plant in the Rio Grande do Sulwith a demand of 15,000 daily barrels.
“Ethane is our dream raw material,” the executive told journalists.

Prio (Prio3) has daily production of 100.1 thousand barrels of oil equivalent in 2T25
A prio had a production of 100,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) in the second quarter of this yearaccording to preliminary operational data released on Thursday (3).
In the friar field, where the repair of the gas compression system was completed and production was normalized after failure, production in the quarter totaled 23.1 thousand boed, according to prio.
At the Polo Poly and Tubarão hammer, the daily production was about 11,000 boed in the second quarter, while in the Albacora East field and the pilgrim unit the numbers were 26.8 thousand boed and 39.2 thousand boed, respectively.
