Made and donated by the Tuscan artist Maurizio Cont, with the participation of Gianmarco Serra and the Fratelli Albertazzi company, it is “a tribute to Assange and his action: on the one hand, testifying our closeness to all those who fight for denounce the crimes of governments around the world; on the other hand, solicit similar actions in schools, municipalities, provinces and other public bodies “.

“The two artists contacted us, met Priero and decided to give us a copy of the work already present in Orbetello”, explains Mayor Alessandro Ingraia, who is a documentary maker by profession. “The goal is to raise awareness on the situation of the Australian programmer and activist – he adds -. In the municipal council we decided to accept the donation and we identified an area at the entrance to the country, of great passage, after having obtained the authorization from the Province for use that public space “.

The artwork was installed over the weekend and will be officially inaugurated in April. (HANDLE).
