(ANSA) – ALGHERO, 09 MAR – The Supreme Court has today totally rejected the appeal presented by the lawyers of Marcello Tilloca against the 30-year sentence imposed on him for the killing of his 40-year-old wife, Michela Fiori, strangled on 23 December 2018 in the bed at home, in Alghero, where until a few months before the couple, about to separate, lived with their two children.
The judges of the first section of the Supreme Court thus accepted the opposition of the prosecutor and the civil parties, namely the victim’s family members and the Rete delle Donne association. The auxoricide will also have to pay the legal costs and compensate the expenses of representation and defense incurred by the civil parties.
For the crime, the 46-year-old from Alghero was sentenced in 2019 with an abbreviated rite by the gup of the Court of Sassari to 30 years of imprisonment, conviction later confirmed by the Court of Appeal of Cagliari, detached section of Sassari, in November 2020. man had admitted his faults but never declared himself repentant.
