Bad weather: it snows in the Venetian Dolomites

(ANSA) – VENICE, MARCH 31 – The last minute winter brought snow back to the mountains of Veneto this morning. It snows from the Dolomites to the Pre-Alps. White flakes, after almost two months of absence, have also been seen in Cortina, where however the snow has only begun to take root on the ground and on the roofs.

Higher up, on the Giau and Falzarego passes, the landscape has returned to winter, with a mantle that has so far reached 5 centimeters in thickness. The last real snow episode occurred on 7 February; since then no more precipitation, and the drought that has gripped the plains above all. The snowfall is more consistent on the Asiago plateau, but only at high altitude, with 10 centimeters of accumulation in the Campomolon ski area, at 1,735 meters high.

It rains lightly in the cities, which has also been happening here for two months, but for now it is not a real phase of bad weather. (HANDLE).
