The episode happened yesterday in a youth center located in the historic center near the Ventaglieri park. The commissioner and the people who were with her, all women, did not suffer physical damage.
“I must say that I didn’t sleep last night – Marciani tells ANSA – so much fear and even amazement because we would never have expected a similar attack in a place that, for its functions, should be welcoming”. The commissioner reported that upon his arrival “we did not find the representatives of the Center but a group of people who were taking care of the collection of goods for the refugees. We, underlining that it was a worthy work, asked if what kind of activities are carried out for the young people. We were told that it is after school but to our observations regarding the absence of tables, this man began to rant by throwing his chairs at us and making threats “. The commissioner and the people who were with her had the readiness to step back and only in this way they were not hit by the chairs.
The commissioner filed a complaint. The visit to the Youth Center – as explained – is part of a path started by Marciani aimed at getting to know the Centers present in the area with the aim of “enhancing them further”.
