(ANSA) – ORVIETO (TERNI), APRIL 11 – “We believe that even a small gesture like ours can be important for children who are victims of adult atrocities”: Gianfranco Vissani, master of Italian cuisine, and his son Luca present the solidarity initiative “An egg for peace”, with the proceeds that will be donated to Save the Children in for all children victims of war, starting with the little ones fleeing Ukraine. Made in their restaurant on the shores of Lake Corbara, not far from Orvieto.
“After two years of Covid – said the chef – now we are grappling with this conflict and with the increase in the cost of electricity, gas and raw materials, Italian restaurateurs can’t take it anymore. Our political class has enormous difficulties, we need a decision-making leaders like Bettino Craxi “.
“The eggs, some bearing the colors of the Ukrainian flag, will be offered to our diners on Easter and Easter Monday”, remembers the master’s son. (HANDLE).
