Give confiscation of assets worth over 2 million euros in the Bat

(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 12 – The Anti-Mafia Investigation Department has implemented a preventive confiscation decree issued by the Bari Court of Appeal – Fourth Criminal Section – Prevention Measures concerning assets worth over two million euro, attributable to a subject of Minervino Murge (BAT) The assessment was made during the application procedure of the asset prevention measure, is not definitive and is subject to further appeal.

The execution of the provision represents the epilogue of the complex investigative activity carried out by the women and men of the DIA, to reconstruct the profile of man’s social dangerousness and to identify the financial and financial assets attributable to him and to the members of his nucleus familiar.

The recipient of the preventive measure has been recognized, at present, as a subject characterized by social danger in relation to his involvement in investigations that would have revealed the existence of a criminal association dedicated to the commission of crimes against property with the frequent use of material exploding in the regions of Puglia and Basilicata.

The property investigations of the DIA, under the direction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office – District Anti-Mafia Directorate, allowed the investigators to ascertain the large disproportion between the assets and the income capacity of the proposed and his family members.

The confiscation order affected 46 real estate units, mainly arable land plots and a thriving livestock farm in BAT.

This result is part of the institutional activities of the Anti-Mafia Investigation Department aimed at the aggression of the illicit wealth acquired and attributable, directly or indirectly, to delinquent contexts, thus acting to protect and safeguard the healthy part of the national economic fabric.
