(ANSA) – VIBO VALENTIA, APRIL 12 – Another episode of aggression in the “Jazzolino” hospital in Vibo Valentia. A health worker, serving in the infectious disease department, was allegedly attacked this morning by two people, family members of an 80-year-old patient, residing in a municipality in the province, who died of complications in the health framework after having suffered a head injury and injuries to his arm. .
The doctor reportedly tried to escape the assault of two people but reportedly received a blow to the head with a crutch. The screams attracted the attention of those present who alerted the police and private security, who arrived shortly afterwards together with the medical director, Antonio Talesa.
This is the second attack that occurs in a few days at the hospital in Vibo Valentia. In fact, last week a similar episode had occurred to the detriment of a doctor in the emergency room of the same hospital.
