(ANSA) – MILAN, APRIL 19 – On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Beppe Fenoglio, from April 22 and for twenty days, a billboard campaign on the theme of “Resistance through the words of Fenoglio” will be held in Bergamo.
The itinerant and replicable project, carried out by Isrec Bergamo, curated by Dario Carta and Donatella Rota, with the scientific consultancy Angelo Bendotti, the patronage of the Municipality of Bergamo and Aiap (Italian association of visual communication design) saw the participation of 19 professional designers, coming from different socio-cultural experiences and sensitive to the issue, who created posters inspired by pieces by Fenoglio selected from some of his writings dedicated to the resistance experience.
The billboard campaign – explains the Municipality of Bergamo -, through the contemporary vision of the designers and thanks to the use of different and peculiar graphic expressive codes, creating a strong relationship between the graphic concept and the written word, aims to invite the passers-by to turn their gaze on the posters and generate / awaken actions / reflections of critical thinking.
The initiative, included in the city program of 25 April 2022, will also be replicated in Alba, the birthplace of Fenoglio.
