According to investigations coordinated by the Cremona Prosecutor’s Office, to affirm the control of the territory in the criminal sphere.
The Mobile Squads of Brescia, Bergamo and Lodi have collaborated in the investigations: the arrested are aged between 25 and 40, and are believed to be the perpetrators of a brutal attack that took place last January 29 near Romanengo (Cremona).
A 30-year-old Indian, that evening, had been admitted to the Emergency Department of Crema, in a state of semi-unconsciousness, with cuts all over his body as well as numerous traumas.
Investigators had reconstructed that the man, while waiting for a friend in Bottaiano, had been the victim of an ambush by some compatriots. They had chased him aboard their cars, once caught up and beaten, they had tied his hands behind his back and forced him to get into another car. They had taken him to a field, where they had awaited the arrival of other compatriots and beaten him with sticks, iron clubs and edged weapons, threatening him to kill his family if he turned against them.
At the base of the beating disagreements connected to crimes of various kinds in the previous months and the attempt to establish itself in the territory. (HANDLE).
