Son driving bus without a license, auto-suspended public transport director

(ANSA) – TURIN, APRIL 29 – After the case of his 18-year-old son recorded in a video posted on social media driving a bus even if without a license, Gabriele Bonfanti suspended himself as general manager of GTT, the local Turin public transport company. Bonfanti himself proposed it to the board of directors, which met today, with “the conviction that the proposal protects both the company’s interests and his person”.
The board of directors, which confirmed the estimate for the director, identified 15 days as the deadline for concluding the investigations which, according to a company note, if necessary will be carried out with the help of external experts.
“We take note of the decision of the GTT board of directors, a decision taken in the total autonomy of the company”, comments the mayor of Turin, Stefano Lo Russo.
“It is a situation that we are following very carefully, also in view of the forthcoming renewal of governance”, adds the mayor. (HANDLE).
