(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 03 – The Gdf of Milan has arrested 11 people accused in various ways of corruption in the contracts for the assignment of collective catering services in schools and institutions for the elderly and cleaning in public offices, for a value total of 39 million euros, in various municipalities in the Milanese and Lombard hinterland (Buccinasco, Cornaredo, Mediglia, Ranica, Flero).
According to the investigations of the Milanese Public Prosecutor’s Office, 11 supply contracts were awarded by local authorities in favor of the companies to which some suspects were directly connected or others willing to pay a “bribe” of between 1 and 2% of the price set. based on the auction of the tender.
From the investigations it emerged that the bribes were paid through “the devolution of value or sums of money in installments for the entire duration of the supply”.
