(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, 06 MAY – “It is important that there is a good match between needs and training”. The minister of University and Research Maria Cristina Messa, who arrived this morning in Cagliari to participate in the inauguration of the academic year 2021-2022, declared this – about the shortage of doctors and the possible easing of the limited number in the faculties.
“The programmed number has increased a lot in recent years – said the minister on the sidelines of the inauguration – from nine thousand seats we have now reached 14 thousand, the number has therefore almost doubled compared to the past”.
But, Mass added, “the problem is contingent, for the next two and three years there is a shortage due to past planning: for the future we are remedying to have an adequate number compared to the needs”. (HANDLE).
