(ANSA) – GENOA, MAY 15 – According to the Municipality, 20,000 people witnessed the evolution of the Frecce Tricolori in Genoa, which performed over the city. A way also to pay homage to aviator Giorgio Parodi, founder of Moto Guzzi, 100 years after the birth of the car brand. The Air Force aerobatic team had been missing in the city for 13 years, even if on the occasion of the inauguration of Ponte San Giorgio they flew over the Arizona viaduct, Bomba and, for the first time, the Scintilla were some of the evolutions of the Arrows, admired especially from corso Italia.
The performance, which lasted 25 minutes, began with the performance of the Hymn by Mameli and ended with the notes of “Nessun dorma” from Puccini’s Turandot with the voice of Luciano Pavarotti. The ten “ponies” of the patrol enchanted the audience by performing very complex and spectacular maneuvers.
