Fabio asks for assisted suicide: mayor, “I’d do like him”

Ukraine, Cicciolina:

(ANSA) – ANCONA, MAY 18 – “I understand Fabio, probably if I were in the same situation I would ask the same thing. It is a condition in which it is humanly difficult not to understand him”.

So to ANSA the mayor of Fermignano Emanuele Feduzi regarding the affair of Fabio Ridolfi, 46 years old from Fermignano (Pesaro Urbino) who, through his brother Andrea and the Luca Coscioni Association, returned to ask for medically assisted suicide. For 18 years he has been immobilized in bed due to a quadriparesis, due to the rupture of a basilar artery in 2004, when he was 28 years old. At that time, the center of the Marche region, with more than 8,000 inhabitants, 10 km from Urbino gathered around the Ridolfi family and is now with Fabio. On social media, many friends and acquaintances raise his desperate appeal. Messages of solidarity are multiplied ‘signed’ also by the mayor Emanuele Feduzi who also expresses for Fabio his “esteem for the ability to carry on a battle from an ethical and moral point of view. We have tried to support the possibility of holding the Referendum, with the collection of signatures, and he ‘puts his face on it’ “.

Fabio lives with his parents Rodolfo and Cecilia in a hamlet a few kilometers from the center of Fermignano, protected by a ‘family cord’, father, mother and brother, in the most absolute discretion even with respect to the community that supports him ‘virtually’. A condition that becomes more unsustainable every day, marked by the rhythm of the respirator to which he is attached. (HANDLE).
