(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 19 – The appraisal which certified, as already emerged, Omar Confalonieri’s full capacity to understand and want at the time of the facts was discussed in the classroom this morning, in front of the Milan GUP Massimo Baraldo , real estate agent, with office in via Montenapoleone, in prison since November 6 on charges of sexual violence, kidnapping and injury. Last October 2 he allegedly stunned a couple during an aperitif, interested in buying and selling a box, with massive doses of benzodiazepines and then abusing the woman in the house of the two, in front of their daughter of less than one year.
In the hearing on May 26, the prosecution, represented by the adjunct Letizia Mannella and the prosecutor Alessia Menegazzo, will take the floor for the request for conviction in the shortened trial (closed doors and one-third discount on the sentence). The report, ordered by the GUP, was signed by Raniero Rossetti, a psychiatrist also expert in the field of addictions, and today it was analyzed in the presence of the parties’ consultants.
According to the defense, Confalonieri acted in a state of psychophysical alteration after taking alcohol and cocaine. Also present in the courtroom was the woman victim of abuse, assisted as a civil party by the lawyer Matteo Pellacani, and who has already been heard in a probative incident last December retracing that “nightmare day”.
Meanwhile, a tranche of investigation continues, always conducted by the carabinieri, to shed light on similar cases to the detriment of other women (four have already been heard in the Prosecutor’s Office) who have come forward to report what they would have suffered with the same scheme by the real estate agent, allegedly “serial”.
