(ANSA) – AOSTA, MAY 25 – The search for an Italian man of about 50 is underway in Cogne, of whom there has been no news since Sunday 22 May. His car has been parked ever since in Lillaz. The man works in Chamonix (France). Rescuers reported that on Sunday he would have to go out into the mountains alone. In the afternoon around 5 pm, once back in the valley, he should have met one of his brothers who, working for the Giro d’Italia, was in Cogne for the stage that started from Rivarolo Canavese. High altitude reconnaissance with helicopters was carried out and canine units are now engaged on the trails. No trace of the man has been found at the time. The Valle d’Aosta Alpine Rescue, the Financial Police Alpine Rescue, the Aosta Valley Fire Brigade and the police are engaged in the research. (HANDLE).
