(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, MAY 31 – Fatal accident at work this morning in the port of Cagliari. A 60-year-old worker from Maracalagonis (Metropolitan city of Cagliari) fell with the truck into the water and died, along the wharf of the Fishermen’s Village, in the locality of Giorgino, on the outskirts of the capital.
Spresal specialists and the police are working to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. From what we learn, the 60-year-old, behind the wheel of the truck, was handling material, perhaps earth, for the construction site which is not far away.
Perhaps due to an incorrect maneuver, while leaving the pier, the vehicle slipped into the sea. The alarm went off immediately. The firefighters, the 118 ambulance and the agents of the Flying Squad arrived on the spot.
Despite the arrival of help, there was nothing to do for the 60-year-old. (HANDLE).
