For this reason, the Economic-Financial Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Giovanni Conzo, carried out three disqualification measures lasting one year against subjects accused of extortion. The financiers also proceeded to a preventive seizure of assets for about 2 million euros. Ownership of the shopping arcade is completely unrelated to the facts.
The investigations started with the complaint of an entrepreneur and the financiers “acquired serious circumstantial elements on extortion requests for the renewal of leases, received by some operators who managed commercial businesses in a gallery.
