(ANSA) – PIEDMONTESE GUARD, 22 JUNE – Since yesterday there has been no news of a 52-year-old BG tourist from Valgreghentino (Lecco) on vacation in Acquappesa Terme, in the Cosentino area. The man, a trained trekker, went out yesterday morning with the intention of reaching the town of Guardia Piemontese through a very challenging path, in an inaccessible area with many rock walls.
For many hours now he hasn’t answered the cell phone he had with him.
Alerted by the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza (Sagf), the technicians of the Pollino Alpine Rescue Station – who gave news of the incident – and the gorge team of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue Calabria (Sasc) intervened. The operators arrived on the spot and started searches on the whole area. Activities that, for now, have not given any results. On site there are also the carabinieri and the fire brigade. (HANDLE).
