People’s Deputy Anton Polyakov was found dead

In Kiev today, on October 8, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Anton Polyakov, who was beaten in the center of the capital last year, was found dead.

Dmitry Razumkov told about this in his Telegram channel.

“Today MP Anton Polyakov was found dead. My condolences to family and friends! I want to believe that the investigation will be objective!” – wrote Razumkov.

The press service of the Servant of the People party also expressed their condolences to the relatives of the People’s Deputy.

The police said that an investigative-operational group, a forensic laboratory and a forensic expert are now working on the spot.

People’s Deputy from “SN” Alexander Kachura added that the police began to investigate the case under Art. 115 of the Criminal Code. The body is sent for forensic and toxicological examination.

What is known about Anton Polyakov?

• Anton Polyakov was born on November 11, 1987 in Chernigov into a large family. He is survived by a wife and two daughters.
• He got to the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party. But on November 15, 2019, he and Anna Skorokhod were expelled from the faction. The official reason is non-voting for bills, on which there is a common decision of the faction.
• And in December 2019, Polyakov decided to leave the Servant of the People party altogether and in 2020 became a member of the For Maybutn party.
• Polyakov is also known for having submitted more than 6 thousand amendments to the banking bill regulating the issues of banks withdrawn from the market. In general, a record number of amendments have been submitted to the bill – more than 16 thousand.
• On September 2, 2020, Polyakov was attacked in the center of Kiev. An unknown person on the street began to strangle the people’s deputy and threaten him. Then the attacker struck several blows in the chest area.
