(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 05 JUL – Production activities that operate at a slower pace if not interrupted, intermittent traffic lights, electricity suspended practically since late yesterday evening for about 10 thousand users between Monfalcone and Staranzano (Gorizia) and continued until this morning, when Enel solved the problem, which occurred again shortly after. According to what is learned, still a thousand users are not served by energy. Enel believes that four control units have been blown, probably due to the malfunction of one in particular, caused by heat and humidity, and that this has caused an overload for the other three.
Some offices, shops and supermarkets have not been able to work, with concerns specifically about the cold storage of some foods.
Mayor Anna Maria Cisint would have expressed the intention to initiate a class action or in any case to obtain compensation for the damage caused by the blackout. (HANDLE).
