Clash between two trucks on A21, missing truck driver found

(ANSA) – PAVIA, 06 JUL – The final balance of the road accident that took place late yesterday afternoon on the A21 Turin-Piacenza-Brescia, in the Pavia section near the tollbooth, is of one dead and two injured, fortunately not serious of Casteggio (Pavia). The missing truck driver, who had been talked about late yesterday evening after the discovery of the charred body of another hauler, actually walked away immediately after the collision, which involved three trucks. To reconstruct the dynamics of the facts was the traffic police of Alexandria, which is continuing the investigations.

In addition to the victim, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, another truck driver and a firefighter, who was burned during the rescue operations, were slightly injured.

After the three vehicles involved were removed, this morning after 9 the motorway section between the Voghera (Pavia) and Casteggio (Pavia) toll booths in the direction of Piacenza was also reopened to traffic; the carriageway towards Turin had already been reopened yesterday evening. (HANDLE).
