(ANSA) – SASSARI, 09 JUL – A huge fire broke out just before 1pm in the countryside between the hamlet of Tottubella and the locality of Nuraghe Bonassai, in Sassari. The flames invaded state road 291, which was closed in the section between the Rotonda dei due mai and the junction with the Sp19bis.

Two forestry corps helicopters from the operational bases of Anela and Bosa are intervening on the spot, coordinated from the ground by the operations director of the Sassari patrol.

The firefighters, the barracelli of Sassari and the Civil Protection are also involved in extinguishing, made particularly difficult by the strong gusts of wind.

The women and men of the local Sassari police, led by commander Gianni Serra, are also on the field, diverting traffic for safety reasons. (HANDLE).
