The last hug to little Andrea the child who died in Sharm el Sheikh

Government, Renzi:

A composed and grief-stricken crowd, mum and dad behind their son’s white coffin. Bells and tears. The embrace of the mayor Lagalla. The funeral of Andrea Mirabile, who died at the age of 7, on 2 July, in Sharm el Sheikh while on vacation with his parents. A tragedy that still remains without an explanation but which caused the dismay of all those who knew the parents Antonio Mirabile and Rosalia Manosperti.

In the church in via Paruta, many wanted to join in their pain. Andrea’s white coffin was greeted in silence. Behind the coffin were his parents. The mayor of Palermo, Roberto Lagalla, who, before the celebration, approached and visibly moved tried to support them in this moment of great pain, also embraced them. The priests Luciano Ficano and Giuseppe Di Giovanni celebrated the mass.

“You have a baby who is about to be born, and give him so much love. Do not feel guilty”, these are the words spoken by Father Luciano Ficano in the course of his homily. Rosalia is expecting a baby. “The presence of God will never fail in you – this weight that life has placed on you will accompany you forever, you will never forget Andrea. A weight that you will not have to carry alone. Carry me always with you, Andrea tells you” , said the priest. “We hope that human justice will take its course but we demand the truth”, he concluded.
