Covid: 67,817 cases, 79 deaths. Rate at 22.8%

(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 17 – There are 67,817 new infections from Covid recorded in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday the infected were 89,830. The victims are 79, down from 111 yesterday. The rate is 22.8%, substantially stable (22.5% yesterday) and a total of 297,754 swabs were performed, including antigenic and molecular.

On the other hand, 403 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, two fewer than yesterday. Daily admissions are 38. There are 10,576 hospitalized in ordinary wards, compared to yesterday 142 more.

Coronavirus positive Italians are currently 1,465,050, compared to 16,500 more yesterday. A total of 20,145,859 have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, while the dead have risen to 169,925. The discharged and healed are 18,510,884, with an increase of 52,417. (HANDLE).
