(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 21 – 80,653 new infections from Covid, about 6 thousand fewer, and 157 victims in the last 24 hours, the same number as yesterday. Data from the Ministry of Health confirm the inversion of the virus curve, which is slowly slowing down, even if the number of deaths remains high. A decline also confirmed by the positivity rate – down to 22% from 22.6%, on 366 thousand swabs – and especially in hospitalizations: with 410 patients hospitalized in intensive care, the same as yesterday, and 10,984 sick in ordinary wards, 53 in less in the last 24 hours. The number of Italians positive for Coronavirus also decreases: they are currently 1,455,821, compared to yesterday 3,555 fewer. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 20,467,349 have been infected, while the total deaths have risen to 170,527. The discharged and healed are 18,841,001 with an increase of 84,933.
