(ANSA) – REGGIO EMILIA, 27 JUL – A violent storm struck in the night, between 2 and 3, on Reggio Emilia and part of the province (in particular Val d’Enza and Bassa Reggiana).
In addition to torrential rain (an estimated 23 millimeters fell on the capital), also strong gusts of wind. The firefighters who have had to deal with about forty interventions, between small and large, are still busy. Most of them concern fallen trees or plants as in Santa Vittoria di Gualtieri where the road was blocked. Several branches also fell on a house in a house in Gattatico and in the courtyard of the ‘Dalla Chiesa’ school in via Revolution d’Ottobre in Reggio Emilia. Also in the city, another tree cut an electricity cable in the hamlet of Pieve Modolena.
