(ANSA) – AOSTA, 28 JUL – Two Spanish mountaineers blocked due to bad weather in the Monte Rosa group at 4,000 meters have been rescued. Recovered in a state of hypothermia by the Aosta Valley Mountain Rescue by helicopter, they were taken to the Parini hospital in Aosta.
The request for help arrived at the operations center at 19.30. The two could not walk the descent route in the area of the Rocks of Discovery (Colle del Lys) also due to hypothermia which prevented them from moving.
After the first attempt by helicopter was unsuccessful due to bad weather conditions, a team of rescuers was brought 300 meters further downstream and reached the two climbers by land, who were recovered thanks to the helicopter. (HANDLE).
