(ANSA) – ROVIGO, 02 AUG – A tour of over 40 days during which it will touch over 30 of the major tourist ports of 7 Italian regions: it will be built by the first “green” offshore patrol vessel currently supplied to the Guardia di Finanza and built by the Vittoria Shipyard in Adria (Rovigo).

From 4 August to 16 September, P.04 “Osum”, this is the name of the 60-meter diesel-electric boat of the Fiamme Gialle, will depart, in fact, from Porto Levante and then dock in the most important tourist resorts of the peninsula where qualified instructors from the construction site will carry out itinerant training activities on board for the men and women of the Guardia di Finanza present in the area.

The boat was recently delivered by the Vittoria Shipyard to the Guardia di Finanza. For the occasion, in each location, citizens and tourists will have the opportunity to get to know the flagship of the Guardia di Finanza up close, its functions and potential, and the operations it will carry out. The new Opv of the Guardia di Finanza is over 60 meters long, 9.5 meters wide, has a draft of 3.5 meters and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of over 26 knots.

It has an ax bow or Ax Bow able to guarantee excellent seaworthiness even in difficult weather and sea conditions, without having to limit speed. The unit is characterized by the introduction of a diesel-electric propulsion at patrol speeds up to 9 knots which allows it to be a low-emission vehicle with a reduced environmental impact. The two main propulsion diesel engines are flanked by 270 kw reversible electric motors each that can act as propulsion engines on patrol or supply electricity to the other speeds.
