“This initiative was born with the intention of bringing the values ​​of the community, solidarity and hospitality back to the center”, Daniel Taddei, the general secretary of the CGIL of the province of Macerata, told ANSA, adding: “We are a network of associations and trade union organizations that deal daily with the problems of poverty, immigration and the excluded. Recalling Alika’s death, the CGIL secretary says that “it is really impossible to understand how it is possible to pour so much blind anger on a person, to express contempt for human life in such a brutal, barbaric gesture; it is absurd to think that a a chance encounter on a sidewalk, in the city center, can trigger such violence, consumed under the astonished eyes of many who have witnessed and fixed in images what happened, but without being able to make any gesture that could avoid it “.
