Boss of the Turkish mafia arrested in Rimini

(ANSA) – RIMINI, 04 AUG – A boss of the Turkish mafia, Baris Boyun, was arrested in Rimini by the Mobile Squad, directed by deputy deputy commissioner Mattia Falso. Thanks to a report, the policemen, coordinated by the prosecutor Davide Ercolani, blocked the Turkish fugitive just 24 hours after his entry into Italy, tracing him to a 4-star hotel in Rimini. The 38-year-old is internationally wanted and the recipient of an arrest warrant issued on April 5 by the Turkish judicial authority for murder, injury, threats, conspiracy and violation of the law on weapons.

Considered by the Turkish authorities a prominent element of a criminal organization responsible for 19 murders and attempted murders, committed between 2019 and 2020, it enjoys a great notoriety at home, so much so that it is the protagonist of numerous videos on Youtube in which it is filmed. with its affiliates in sumptuous banquets and also in the presence of weapons. According to investigations by the state police, in close collaboration with the international and Ankara authorities, the 38-year-old arrived in Rimini on 2 August and was due to leave today with three other people. In fact, three other men would travel with him by car from Switzerland, staying in the same hotel in Rimini, but in different rooms. The deputy prosecutor Ercolani therefore ordered that investigations be extended to all members of the group, including searches of hotel rooms. These investigations led to the arrest of a second subject, a 49-year-old Swiss found in possession of a pistol, complete with a magazine stocked with nine 9×19 Parabellum caliber cartridges. The 49-year-old, defended by the lawyer Antonino Reina, of the Rimini Court, was arrested in flagrant for illegal possession of weapons.
