Moscow, we are not discussing possible prison exchanges with the press
(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 05 – Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said he did not want to discuss with the press “any nuances” of a possible exchange of detainees between Russia and the US. “These exchanges will never happen if we start discussing any nuances of the exchange in the press,” Peskov said according to Interfax. “The Americans have made this mistake. They have decided for some reason to solve these problems with the megaphone method. This is not how they are solved, so we will not make any comments,” Peskov said.
Russian Foreign Minister Serghiei Lavrov said Moscow is ready to discuss with Washington an exchange of prisoners involving basketball player Brittney Griner through a presidential-level communication channel. (HANDLE).
