Father and son arrested for weapons, samurai sword at home

(ANSA) – NAPLES, AUGUST 12 – Two Neapolitan clean records, father and son. The first class ’72, the other 29 years younger.

They both ended up in handcuffs, arrested by the Carabinieri of the Vomero operational nucleus and of the Napoli Marianella station.

In via Nicolardi, a tree-lined street a few steps from the Aminei Hills, they were on a scooter and in the opposite direction here were the headlights of a carabinieri patrol. The youngest pulled out a gun and threw it towards the sidewalk. The movement did not escape the military who first blocked the vehicle and then recovered the weapon. The 50-year-old was immediately stopped, his son instead started running but was tracked down a few minutes later in his home, in the Materdei district.

In addition to the 6.35 caliber browning with stamped serial number found in the street, the carabinieri also found a telescopic baton, six knives of various sizes, a Japanese sword, a serrated dagger, a blank pistol without a red cap.

And again, a gun cleaning kit, a 6.35 mm caliber pistol tank, an air rifle and a case with mechanical parts of firearms. In the availability of the two also 1820 euros in cash.

Both were arrested for complicity in detention and abusive carrying of weapons and were held in prison while awaiting trial. (HANDLE).
