(ANSA) – MILAN, AUGUST 17 – In Roncadello, in the Cremona area, a restaurateur has put his energy bill on display to justify the price increase. “When the costs become unsustainable” the man writes on a ticket next to the photocopy of the bill. “Put a pizza Margherita for 10 euros and go as a thief – he adds – or close the business”.
The man, Alberto Rovati, owner of the ‘Funky Gallo’ pizzeria, found himself paying an electricity bill of 4,000 euros for the month of July. “The same bill last year, for the same period – he says – was 1,350 euros, an increase of 300%”. The restaurateur says he received it last Sunday, and immediately thought of exhibiting it “not to scare the customers, but to send a message that we can’t go on like this”. (HANDLE).
